Sancta Trinitas

"Sancta Trinitas" was written by choirboy after he noticed some writing on the altarcloth whilst he should have been concentrating on matters more sacred. Fortunately, being well prepared he jotted down the latin phrase Sancta Trinitas, Unus Deus, Miserere Nobis and when he got home he penned "Sancta Trinitas". He hopes that it will become the parish song as it has been sung both in honour of Bishop Christopher's recent visit and on the feast of the Holy Trinity (our parish feast day). It is what he calls one of his crossover musical pieces, in that the words should appeal to older as well as younger listeners - and here they are : -

Sancta Trinitas
Unus Deus
Miserere nobis
Sancta Trinitas
Unus Deus
Miserere nobis

One God
Three Persons
One life in You, Lord
All glory and all power
Are Yours forever and ever

Sancta Trinitas
Unus Deus
Miserere nobis
Sancta Trinitas
Unus Deus
Miserere nobis

Father, Son
And Holy Spirit
Our divine mystery
All glory and all power
Are Yours forever and ever

Sancta Trinitas
Unus Deus
Miserere nobis
Sancta Trinitas
Unus Deus
Miserere nobis

Risen Lord
Our redeemer
All our hope is in You
All glory and all power
Are Yours forever and ever
