From the four winds

This weekend's gospel is from Mark 13 and is known as the eschatological discourse when Jesus foretells what will happen when the world ends. The term eschatological comes from eschaton meaning end of time coming from the Greek word for last or end times. Choirboy has penned a musical piece based on this discourse called "When the wind blows". The lyrics are printed below and choirboy has an audio file for anyone interested in hearing the music. The music is now available at: -

When the wind blows, you’ll see me again
When the wind blows, you’ll see me again
And when the wind blows, you’ll see the Son
You’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son of Man
You’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son of Man

Master do you think that everything will turn out fine
Look at all we’ve built, so majestic, so divine
All you can see, it doesn’t matter to me
For many will come and tell you I am the one, but

When the wind blows, you’ll see me again
When the wind blows, you’ll see me again
And when the wind blows, you’ll see the Son
You’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son of Man
You’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son of Man

Watch for yourselves, you’ll be beaten and jailed
Just preach my word, the Spirit is with you every day
Be watchful I say, you not the time nor the day
For many will come and tell you I am the one, but

When the wind blows, you’ll see me again
When the wind blows, you’ll see me again
And when the wind blows, you’ll see the Son
You’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son of Man
You’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son, you’ll see the Son of Man

In the days to come, the sun will darken in the sky
And then you’ll see the Son of Man lifted high
From the four winds, he’ll gather the chosen to Him
Be watchful and pray, we know not the time nor the day, and

When the wind blows, we’ll see him again
When the wind blows, we’ll see him again
And when the wind blows, we’ll see the Son
We’ll see the Son, we’ll see the Son of Man
We’ll see the Son, we’ll see the Son, we’ll see the Son of Man
